Rustic Wagyu Flat Iron Steak with Wine and Butter Sauce - Slap Yo' Daddy BBQ
Ingredients:
- 2 Wagyu flat iron steaks about 1
- 5 lbs each
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 cup red wine
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
Instructions:
Warm up the grill over medium-high heat
Add salt and black pepper to the Wagyu steaks after rubbing them with olive oil
For medium-rare steaks, grill them for 4 to 5 minutes per side
You can change the time depending on how done you want them
Make the wine and butter sauce while the steaks are on the grill
Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat, then saut the minced garlic until it smells good
In a saucepan, mix together the soy sauce, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, red wine, and smoked paprika
Mix things together well
Let the sauce reduce and thicken a bit by simmering it for 8 to 10 minutes
For taste, add rosemary sprigs
Pick up the steaks from the grill when they're done and let them rest for a while
Cut the steaks into thin strips across the grain
Serve the Wagyu steaks cut into thin slices with the wine and butter sauce on the side
If you want, you can add more rosemary as a garnish
