7-Spice Pumpkin Turkey Soup



With a blend of aromatic spices, rich flavors of pumpkin and turkey, this Paleo-friendly soup is warm and comforting. Ideal for cold days or whenever you want a hearty bowl of soup.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can 15 oz pumpkin puree
  • 4 cups chicken or turkey broth
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp ground allspice
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil

Instructions:

Coconut oil should be heated over medium heat in a big pot

Add the minced garlic and diced onions, and saut until transparent

Using a spoon, break up the ground turkey and add it to the pot

Cook until browned

Add the pumpkin puree, broth either chicken or turkey, cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger, allspice, black pepper, and sea salt

Simmer the soup for fifteen to twenty minutes, stirring now and then

If needed, adjust the seasoning to taste

Enjoy while hot!
